The dry bits…

I am a graduate of the University of Southampton, where I was awarded an honours degree in Computer Science.

I am an elected Chartered Member (MBCS CITP) of the British Computer Society, and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) courtesy of the Engineering Council (UK).

I have worked in various areas of the computing industry, ranging from systems integration to building systems for on-line console gaming networks. Currently, I am employed as a Lead Software Engineer in creating on-line solutions for the recruitment industry.

My main computing interests fall in the areas of web development (multimedia, hypermedia) and security.

The wet bits…

I enjoy Judo, and am a 1st Dan black belt under the British Judo Association. I also volunteer as an Area Referee, and am currently undergoing training to be a qualified coach. I love it, but am pretty much recreational. It’s been great for fitness and I’m working on associated things such as running, cycling, weight training and so on. Please also see my Judo CV.
